What it is and what it does
The Curve is the plain RO + UV + UF purifier in the range: no copper stage, no TDS controller, nothing to adjust. Water is pre-filtered, pushed through the RO membrane, disinfected by UV and polished by UF, then stored. Its one distinguishing feature is that the 9 litre tank is UV-protected, so the water sitting in it stays guarded against regrowth between fills.
It makes 15 litres an hour, the same production rate as the Royale, and an LED panel shows what it is doing. It mounts on a wall or stands on the counter. Because there is no controller, the water you get is what the membrane produces; on the right feed water that is exactly what you want.
What it fits, and what it does not
The Curve suits municipal or borewell water in the range where RO is actually needed, roughly 300 ppm and above, in a kitchen that has a plumbed inlet and a socket. Wall or counter, your choice. If stored water sitting for a day or two worries you, the UV-protected tank is the reason to pick this model over the other two.
It does not suit low-TDS water. With no controller to blend minerals back, output on a 150 ppm supply will taste flat and there is nothing on the unit to change that; a UV-only purifier is the right buy for that water. It also does not offer copper enrichment, and it holds 9 litres, not 12, so a large family will find it refilling more often than the Aura.
When to choose it over the Aura or the Royale
Choose the Curve when you want the RO + UV + UF core without paying for features you will not use, when you value the UV-protected tank, or when you keep purified water for a day or more before drinking it. It is the sensible pick for a two-to-four person home on ordinary hard water.
Do not choose it if you want to set the taste of the output; that is the Royale's job. Do not choose it if the household empties a 9 litre tank before it can refill; the Aura's 12 litres exists for that.
What goes wrong if you pick the wrong purifier
The common error is buying the Curve for soft water because it is the mid-priced model. On 150 ppm municipal supply it removes minerals the water barely has, and with no controller the result tastes flat for as long as you own it. The reverse error, buying it for 1,500 ppm borewell water and expecting taste control, ends the same way, with a purifier nobody wants to drink from. Read your TDS first; the Curve is excellent in its band and wrong outside it.
What to replace, and when
Sediment cartridge at 6 to 8 months on borewell water, up to 12 on municipal; carbon cartridge up to 12 months; RO membrane at 18 to 24 months. The membrane's symptom on the Curve is easy to spot because nothing is blended back in: if your TDS meter reading at the tap has roughly doubled since the membrane was new, or the tank is filling well short of 15 litres an hour, it is due.
Which LUXGEN parts it works with
Replacement membranes are the 80 GPD or 100 GPD 1812 TFC, which fit most domestic RO purifiers; check the housing in your unit. Above 2000 ppm feed, move to the molded high-TDS membrane. If the internal pump fails, the 100 GPD booster pump is the replacement in the range. A pre-filter bowl on the wall ahead of the Curve, refilled with a LUXGEN sediment cartridge, protects the whole chain.
